Adelaide-based cellist Aj Singh is completing a Bachelor of Music in Advanced Classical Performance at the Elder Conservatorium, studying with Professor Edith Salzmann. A graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School, Aj has received numerous accolades, including the Peter Brooker Prize for Musical Excellence, the EMR Travel Scholarship for Classical Performance, the Eugene Alderman Prize, and the Selbourne Moutray Russell Prize. They are also a recipient of the Liselotte ‘Lilo’ Nassau Cello Scholarship and the Hage Mayer Cello Scholarship.

Aj has participated in masterclasses and academies in Singapore, at the International Nice Academy in France, the Accordi Academy in Pescara, and the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Italy. They have performed for distinguished artists including David Geringas, Marc Coppey, Gustave Rivinus, Gabriel Schwabe, Alexander Chaushian, Ramon Jaffé, Marie- Paule Milone, Marko Ylönen, and members of Ensemble Musikfabrik. Aj currently works as a casual musician with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
