Maggie Zeng is a passionate violinist studying under Dr Evgeny Sorkin at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. She was awarded her AMusA with distinction in 2022 at 15, with her LMusA practical examination completed at 14. After winning the Sutherland Shire and St George Youth Music Award in 2021, she has been invited to play with Sydney orchestras under the baton of Dr. Steve Watson in 2022 and 2024. An active orchestral musician, she has performed with the Australian Youth Orchestra, served as concertmaster of the NSW Arts Unit Orchestra, and will appear as concerto soloist with the Penrith Symphony Orchestra in March 2026.

As a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium High School, she has worked with esteemed chamber music tutors Kathryn Selby and Young Kwon Choi. Maggie’s dedication to chamber music led to ranking first in her cohort for HSC Music Extension and will perform at the 2026 HSC Encore Showcase with her piano quartet.
