Ellen grew up in Sydney, Australia, and began learning violin at age four. She quickly grew an interest for the instrument and decided to further her studies through the Open Academy Rising Stars Program at the Sydney Conservatorium, where she went on to complete a Bachelor of Performance. During her studies, she was a recipient of the Henderson Travellers Scholarship which allowed her quartet to participate in masterclasses across Europe.

In 2023, Ellen was a fellow with the Opera Australia Orchestra where she was able to perform opera and ballet works as well as receive mentorship in both chamber and solo performance. As an active collaborator, she has performed in orchestras including the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Apex and regularly performs as a casual musician with the Opera Australia Orchestra.

Ellen is excited to collaborate and perform with fellow musicians at the 2026 Megalong Music Festival Fellows Program, exploring both traditional and contemporary repertoire.
